DEDEO Bone & Joint Clinic is a branded concept inspired by my experience with Rheumatoid Arthritis. It is named in honor of my rheumatologist, Dr. Dedeoglu, who has cared for me through periods of remission and flare-ups since I was five years old and continues to support me today. For this project, I developed a complete branding system including the logo, visual identity, followed by physical packaging centered around the clinic’s core values of both education and personal care.
For this project, I created an interactive take-home care package designed to help users better understand how different joints in the body function and how to properly care for them.
The package centers around a rotating anatomical figure that highlights multiple joint types through a color-coded system, allowing users to physically interact with and examine the body in a more engaging way. Accompanying exercise cards provide stretches and movements specific to each joint while also explaining how that area of the body works.
My goal was to create something that feels educational, approachable, and engaging rather than overly clinical, especially for younger patients or people learning to manage long-term joint conditions.
INSIDE OF PACKAGING
Inside the box, the experience is centered around a rotating anatomical figure mounted on a raised platform that allows the user to examine the body from multiple angles. The figure highlights six different joints that are divided into three categories: hinge joints, ball and socket joints, and pivot joints. Each category is represented through its own color system, helping users visually group and understand how different joints function throughout the body.
Beneath the figure, the box is organized into three separate compartments that each contain a set of exercise/informational cards tied to one of the joint categories. Every card focuses on a specific movement or stretch designed to support mobility and joint care while also explaining the purpose and function of that joint.
The color-coded structure connects the cards directly back to the rotating figure, creating a more interactive and guided learning experience that encourages users to physically engage with the product rather than simply read information.
