PUPPALOOZA
Puppalooza is a festival concept I designed to celebrate the joy and companionship that dogs bring to our lives. Inspired by my love for dogs and being a dog mom to four pups, I wanted to create an event that feels playful and full of energy. This project includes a cohesive visual system with a ticket, poster, and booklet that all capture the fun, lively spirit of a dog-filled day.
THE PROCESS
​​​Once I decided on creating a dog-themed festival, I wanted to make sure it felt welcoming and fun for all ages. My goal was to design an atmosphere where anyone could comfortably bring their dog and enjoy activities suited for both children and pets. My mood board helped me really bring this vision to life.
Keeping that playful and inclusive spirit in mind, I began brainstorming names that would reflect this theme. From there, I explored different visual directions, sketching and experimenting with lettering styles that could shape the overall identity of the festival and guide the look of my wordmark and other branded materials. This brought me to the festival name, "Puppalooza"!

After establishing the overall theme and tone for my festival, I developed a color palette that captured the warm, welcoming atmosphere I wanted to create. I chose bright yet soft colors that fit the "dog style", such as red's browns, and blues. Alongside the palette, I designed 3 simple, hand-drawn icons to add personality to the branding of this festival. I kept them slightly imperfect to give the visuals a more authentic and approachable charm. And just like that, Puppalooza was born!
